I had a time exporting this to a jpg because of something to do with my margins and the fact that I am using a different computer. Once I changed those settings it exported quickly, before that it crashed ArcMAP when I tried it.

  1. I really like your hillshade color ramp choice - it looks very sharp and the mountains are easily identifiable. The circle may bring more attention to outside asheville than you are intending for. I would probably either cut the circle shape or alternatively get rid of the buncombe county visible outside the circle. Can you also make the city of Asheville have hillshade, as well?
    Nice map.

  2. I like the hillshade color ramp choice, as well. However, for this map I'm more drawn to the pretty hillshade than the actual map of the city. Although I like the hillshade, I think its a little much for this application. Maybe toning it down just a little would bring the eye back to the City of Asheville.

  3. I would emphasize the city of Asheville area more. I think the colors are right on. I would hang it on my wall.

  4. This is avant garde and has some serious potential as art. I am not sure this works as an informative bike route map.
